Star Date August 2, 2020 - Stuck in Winnemucca

On our way to a new adventure!!  We were heading east and north to try to make something out of an aborted visit to Alaska this summer (oh Canada - you make it so difficult).  We left our house this morning on time at 9 am and traveled about 100 miles before the air conditioning conked out.  We were 40 miles from this hotspot -- Winnemucca, NV.  And when I say hot, I mean it!!

It is Sunday afternoon.  No one who takes care of air conditioners on trucks is open right now but luckily the pool is open in this campground so after I finish my beer and a little nap -- I'll be heading down there.  In the meantime here is a picture from my trailer front porch.

Okay, so I have to admit the day got a bit better.  I found this pool and there was no one in it:

Those chairs over there should be occupied by Jody Scowcroft and Pat Grover.  The water was nice and cool and I was able to read about 50 pages of my book before a family of teenagers showed up jumping and shouting.  Back to the trailer I went.

Oh, one more thing.  I forgot my drugs (and I don't mean illicit or anything exciting - simvastatin and lisinoprin).  So I called my daughter Montana and put her on alert that, depending on what the repair shop says tomorrow, I will need her to overnight my stuff.  She was amenable, we are a good family and take care of each other.  Thank God!

So what will tomorrow bring?  Let you know.
