No bears yet . . . did see some giant cedars though August 20, 2020

We took a drive up highway 2, investigating the various campgrounds, forests and rivers.  Turns out we are camped at the confluence of the Yaak and the Kootenai rivers.  We stopped in Troy to retrieve our email and texts and seeing nothing that we had to deal with, we proceeded to the next cell city Libby, MT.

This is definitely Trump Country.

The area is beautiful, full of mountains, rivers, expansive ranches and a few ticky, tocky, tacky towns.

Beat this shot Tahoe:

or this one:

We checked out the Ross Creek Cedar Stand.  Just beautiful.  You would have thought you were standing in the middle of a redwood stand in California.

Here’s something else we saw along the river – people are busy at work with this stuff everywhere.

Personally, I can’t see this as anything but art and balance.

A little piece of home -- I didn't do this.  You can't make it up.

On the way we stopped in a True Value Hardware store and purchased a hammock for me and a map book of Montana for us.

The hammock works great and the book will help us plan more of our trip.
