Man it is HOT out here. Boise August 5, 2020

Yes.  This was not my idea of a summer vacation.  Stuck again in a campground with side by side rigs, all with their air conditioning cranking non-stop beginning at 11 am.  High today in Boise was 98 and yes, there is a lot of humidity here -- you should see my hair! Oh and this place has no swimming pool!!

I did get a run in this morning and after doing 3.25 miles I had to check the altitude here -- sure enough it is only 2030 feet as opposed to 4500 at home.  I was wondering why my legs were taking the heat rather than my lungs.  It was really pretty though.  I hit the bike trail that runs behind our campsite early, before the hordes (and I do mean hordes) arrived.  The time here is an hour ahead of Reno time so I guess by my standards it was late but, whatever.  It was 7:30am Mtn time.

This town has a really nice bike/walk path through it.  It is about 35 miles long and runs along the Boise River.  It reminded me of the bike path along the Truckee but seems to be longer.  Our trailer neighbor is actually a resident of Boise so I inquired about the river and if there was a homeless population there.  He said no.  I asked why?  He said because developers have built upscale properties along the river and therefore chased the homeless population off the river and into the downtown core where there are more services for them.

I hope that Reno will be able to also  relocate those that have nowhere to live, except for their tents.  I know it is not healthy for any of us to have this population living by the river without any sanitary services.

Russ left Ceilidh and I and went to see one of his brothers-in-arms for a few hours.  Another medic that served with him in Vietnam.  I am sure it was great for him to get away and I got to finish my book!!!  Ceilidh got a couple of walks too.

Tomorrow we head up highway 95 and hope to find a campsite in the woods.  You may not hear from me for a bit as I understand there is not much cell coverage.  You all be good to each other now.
